BANGOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Van Buren Conservation District (VBCD) has named the winner of their “Farmer of the Year” award as Ron and Soo Klein of Windshadow Farm & Dairy in Bangor.
According to an official press release, Ron and Soo are “giant advocates for safe farming practices and have participated in several programs with the Conservation District.”
The Windshadow team raises dairy goats in a grazing program, which then uses the milk for its cheese plant.
Windshadow Farm is also verified in several practices, such as the Farmstead and Livestock systems of the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program.
