KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Just days after the August Primary Election, what’s called an Election Transparency and Voter Education Town Hall will be held today at the Northside Association for Community Development.
Organizers says from 5:00-6:30 p.m., community organizations and partners will be available to share resources and information.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., State Rpresentative Julie Rogers will be joined by Michigan Deputy Secretary of State Aghogho Edevbie and other community leaders for a nonpartisan conversation about how Michigan elections are administered and how residents can stay informed and engaged.
Rogers says they will discuss election security safeguards, ballot accountability, oversight, post-election audits, voting rights, voter registration and opportunities to serve as a poll worker. There will also be time for audience questions and community discussion.
The Northside Association for Community Development building is located at located at 612 North Park Street in Kalamazoo.
