KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – 44-year-old Rajai Brown is headed to trial for the 2022 double murders of Tarra Mayes and Alfred Simpson in Kalamazoo.
Their decomposing bodies were found by the new owner of a home on North Rose Street in August of 2023 in a shed.
Witness Jesse Palmer used to live with the three but moved out in February 2022 when Brown shot at him.
Palmer testified Brown told him about killing Simpson and Mayes the next month.
Bond for Brown was denied.
