EAST LANSING, MI — The Michigan State University School of Packaging has landed a big donation that will help it launch a new phase of expansion.
The school announced this week it is getting a $47 million “transformational commitment” from alumnus Charles and Jacqueline Frasier. The Friazier’s gift is the largest gift in the history of the School of Packaging at MSU, according to a press release.
Officials say the Frasiers’ multi-phased vision for impact “provides a strategic roadmap for the school’s growth through several key designations.”
The expansion will significantly enhance the school’s capabilities by nearly doubling the size of the existing building and expanding both teaching and research environments, according to a press release.
“The project is designed to meet the evolving needs of students, faculty and industry partners in a rapidly advancing field,” the school says.
