AG Nessel will intervene in Consumers Energy rate hike request

LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel says she will intervene in Consumers Energy’s latest rate hike request.

The utility announced on Friday that they will seek another electric rate increase “on or after June 2.”

Nessel says she will fight to keep the increase as low as possible after Consumers received approval for a $276.6-million increase effective May 1st.
