Union nurses at Corewell Health East authorize strike

DEARBORN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Unionized registered nurses at Corewell Health East have voted to authorize a strike.

The Teamsters nurses work at Corewell facilities in Dearborn, Farmington Hills, Grosse Pointe, Royal Oak, Trenton, Troy, Taylor, and Wayne.

They also work at the Corewell Health Southfield Center.

Corewell Health is the state’s largest health system and nurses say they have not been able to reach a deal on their first contract despite months of contract talks.
