KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Climate Crisis Coalition is holding a fundraising concert Saturday at Old Dog Tavern.
Sounds of the Zoo founder and executive director Jennifer Hudson-Prenkert says it is the first time they have done anything like this as the KCCC is raising money for its Climate Ready Homes Project.
That helps Kalamazoo residents upgrade their homes with reduced emission features and energy efficient appliances.
A community roundtable will be held that afternoon with guest speakers talking about climate activism in the city, and the performances begin at 6 p.m.
Admission is free, but donations at the door are encouraged.
