BATTLE CREEK, MI WKZO AM/FM) – WK Kellogg Co and Post Consumer Brands will be celebrating National Cereal Day a day early with a cereal sale offering 10,000 boxes of cereal to benefit United Way of South Central Michigan.
The two companies are again donating a variety of popular cereal brands that will be available for public sale at $2 per box Friday, March 6.
It’s the fourth such sale. The two sales held last year raised more than $30,000 for the United Way of South Central Michigan, addressing food insecurity in Battle Creek.

“At WK Kellogg Co, we’re proud to continue supporting our hometown of Battle Creek,” said Stacy Flathau, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at WK Kellogg Co. “This year’s cereal sale is a great opportunity to once again come together as a community – celebrating our shared love of cereal while making a meaningful impact in the areas where we live and work. We’re excited to partner with Post and United Way to support local programs that help strengthen and uplift our community.”
“Events like this reflect our purpose at Post Consumer Brands, to make lives better by making delicious food accessible for all, and we’re excited to continue this tradition,” said Todd Person, Site VP of the Post Battle Creek plant. “I’m incredibly proud of our teams’ continued dedication to giving back to the local Battle Creek community, and we look forward to partnering with WK Kellogg Co and United Way in this way to support these important programs that help our community prosper.”
The Cereal Sale takes place Friday, March 6, at Full Blast, 35 Hamblin Avenue West in Battle Creek. Doors open to the public at 3:00 p.m., and the sale lasts until 5:00 p.m.
Consumers can purchase as many individual boxes as they wish while supplies last, and are encouraged to bring their own bags.
