Significant damage after vehicle crashes into building on Portage Street

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – For the second time in two days a vehicle has crashed into a building in Kalamazoo.

A day after a two vehicle accident caused one of those vehicles to smash into the Kalamazoo County Administration Building, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers Sunday responded for a single vehicle that crashed into a building in the 1300 block of Portage Street around 12:50 p.m.

The force of the crash caused significant structural damage and the building was evacuated. The occupants in the vehicle reported minor scrapes from the crash.

The driver of the vehicle was issued a citation and released at the scene.
