DEARBORN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The average price for a gallon of gas in Michigan is down 11¢ in the past week and stands at $2.70.
Triple-A Michigan says the average price is down 18¢ from last month and 44¢ from last year.
A 15-gallon tank of gas statewide costs $40 on average.
Michigan’s highest price for gas is in Ann Arbor at $2.82, and the most affordable fuel is sold in Traverse City at $2.50 a gallon.
In southwest Michigan, Allegan County has the lowest price at an average of $2.56, followed by Calhoun County at $2.64, Van Buren County at $2.70, Berrien County at $2.72, St. Joseph County at $2.73, Kalamazoo County at $2.75, Barry County at $2.77, and Cass County at $2.88.
