KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A food delivery driver was assaulted and robbed early Sunday morning in Kalamazoo, and two juveniles are now in custody.
Around 1:30 a.m. officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to the intersection of
Cadillac and Douglas for a report of a strong-arm robbery involving a DoorDash delivery driver.
KDPS says yhe victim reported being physically assaulted and robbed by two suspects who then fled the area on foot.
Officers immediately began a search of the area and deployed K9 Amos for a K9 track. The track led officers to a nearby residence.
After further investigation, two juvenile suspects exited the residence and were taken into custody without incident.
During the investigation, officers were able to seize evidence related to the robbery from inside the residence.
KDPS says this remains an active investigation.
