KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – One person was injured and a Kalamazoo man was arrested on drunk driving charges after police say his car slammed into a home early Sunday morning.
Just after 2:00 a.m. officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to a report of a red sedan that had crashed into a home in the 3500

The driver was able to get out of the vehicle and the home was safely evacuated.
KDPS says the driver, a 47-year-old Kalamazoo man, appeared to be under the influence and was arrested for OWI causing injury.

One resident, who had been in the family room at the time of the crash, sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment. Other family members were able to stay elsewhere for the evening.
