KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Giving Tuesday was a big day for Community Homeworks, as Guys Who Give-Kalamazoo County surprised them with a $19,300 charitable donation as part of the group’s Q4 Impact Award.
Community Homeworks, a Kalamazoo-based nonprofit dedicated to providing critical home repairs and energy-efficiency improvements for low-income homeowners, was selected by the organization’s members during the Q4 Impact Event in late November. The donation will directly support urgent home repair projects, like heating, plumbing, and safety emergencies.
“Our mission is simple: bring local men together in a casual setting to create immediate impact for organizations doing essential work in our community,” said Cody Livingston, President and Founder of Guys Who Give – Kalamazoo County. “Community Homeworks embodies exactly that. Their efforts prevent families from facing dangerous or unlivable conditions, and we’re proud to support their work.”

Guys Who Give -Kalamazoo County is a philanthropic giving circle made up of local men who gather quarterly to nominate, vote, and donate to a selected nonprofit. Since its founding, the group has collectively contributed nearly $500,000 to nonprofits serving the Kalamazoo County community.
