BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Battle Creek police have arrested a 31-year-old man on felony assault and weapons charges along with several outstanding warrants.
He was taken into custody early Saturday morning after he allegedly threatened a woman using an AR-15 rifle and pushed her in the face in the 20th block of South 23rd Street.
Police were called to the scene around 3 a.m. and found the woman and the suspect. She also told police another woman hit her with a liquor bottle and a second woman fired several shots from a handgun, hitting her vehicle.
Officers have not been able to locate either female suspect yet.
They found the AR-15 in a trash can on South 24th Street and took the man into custody.
No names have been released.
