LANSING, MI — It’s nearing the end of road construction season on Michigan, but it’s not over just yet. MDOT says starting Monday, eastbound I-496 – exit 1 – to Creyts Road in Eaton County will be closed for pavement work. The work is expected to be completed by Monday, Nov. 10.
Several other major road construction projects across mid-Michigan are about ready to wrap up. The work on M-99 between Edgewood Blvd. and Holt Road should be completed in the next few days. All exit and entrance ramps at I-96 are now open.
In addition, the US-127 rebuild in south Lansing is nearing completion. The expressway, between I-96 and I-496, is expected to reopen in both directions by the end of November with all ramps and southbound lanes open.
