LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Ten Republican state senators are urging Governor Gretchen Whitmer to ask for the resignations of two Michigan State Police leaders.
That includes director Colonel James Grady and comes after the fourth federal lawsuit against the MSP and Grady was filed.
The lawsuits all say there is either racial discrimination in hiring and promotions in the department or sexual misconduct by rank-and-file MSP members that is not being properly handled.
Whitmer released a statement saying Colonel Grady “has demonstrated steady, principled leadership at the helm of the Michigan State Police, dedicating more than 25 years to serving and protecting the people of Michigan.”
