EAST LANSING, MI — College athletics today is hyper focused on name, image and likeness (NIL) licensing, and MSU athletics has added an expert on that area. The school announced today that it has hired Mitchell Moorer as Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Management and Administration.
The school says Moorer will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and managing contracts for MSU athletics, including but not limited to contracts related to name, image and likeness (NIL) licensing agreements, employee contracts, sponsorship agreements, commercial partnerships, and media rights.
In addition, and equally important the school says that he will “oversee the strategy, assignment and distribution of institutional benefits provided to student-athletes under the terms of the House v. NCAA settlement.”
