The Lansing School District will celebrate the completion of construction of the new Mt. Hope school with a Grand Opening celebration scheduled from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, August 5, according to press release from the school district.
The new Mt. Hope school at 1810 Harding Ave. in Lansing was made possible through the passage of a school bond in 2022. The new school for grades 4-8 cost $30 million to build and equip. The new Mt. Hope school and other Lansing schools are scheduled to start classes on August 20.
“This is another historic event in the Lansing School District,” said Superintendent Ben Shuldiner. “We are holding this Grand Opening event to give the community and public a sneak – peek at the new school before classes start. This moment begins an exciting new chapter in our district and we thank our district families and the Lansing community for making this possible.”
