KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A national nonprofit working to find solutions for the homeless has been chosen by Kalamazoo County to manage The Landing Place, their new family homeless shelter on Kilgore Road.
This week, the Kalamazoo County board authorized County Administrator Kevin Catlin to negotiate the contract with The Family Promise, an organization with operations in 200 cities, managing everything from prevention services to emergency shelter and housing to post-program stabilization.
Lisa Cruden with The Family Promise’s West Michigan operation says they have been doing this for decades.
