LANSING, MI — The Lansing School District will hold three high school graduation ceremonies on Saturday June 7 th at the Michigan State University Breslin Center, the district says..
Graduation is a ticketed event for families and guests, and in accordance with Michigan State University Security Guidelines the Breslin Center adheres to a strict bag and container policy to secure a safe environment, according to a press release. The ceremony for Sexton graduates will begin at 9:00 a.m., then Everett High School seniors will begin their ceremony at 12:30 p.m., and Eastern High ceremonies with graduates will begin at 4:30 p.m. Capital Area K-12 Online and Learning Hub graduates had their degrees conferred in ceremonies earlier this week, and the Lansing School District also awarded degrees to Adult Education graduates.
“This is an exciting moment for our graduates,” said superintendent Ben Shuldiner. “Parents, family and friends are all very proud of our graduating seniors. Graduation rates have increased to a record high 87% in the Lansing School District this year, and all of our students, teachers and staff deserve applause for working hard to make that happen.”
All graduations will also be live-streamed and recorded for the school district YouTube channel.
