OTSEGO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO) – Allegan County authorities say there is no indication of foul play in the death of a man who was recovered from the Kalamazoo River in Otsego Township Monday afternoon.
Allegan County Marine Deputies recovered the body around 2:30 p.m.
The Sheriff’s Office says the man is believed to the missing person who was witnessed going under the water on the river near the City of Plainwell. No names are being released until confirmation of identity can be made by the Medical Examiner’s office.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the recovery by the Plainwell Department of Public Safety, Allegan County Dive Rescue team, Plainwell EMS, and the Allegan County Medical Examiner’s Office.
