PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – As the Portage Public Schools board of education gets closer to making a final choice for their new superintendent of schools, the public has been invited to meet the candidates tomorrow night.
Johnny Edwards, the current assistant superintendent of Portage Public Schools and Matt Olson, the assistant superintendent at Northwest Educational Services in Traverse City, are the two finalists.
The meet and greet will run from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Portage Central High’s Community Room and will be immediately followed by a second round of interviews of Edwards and Olson by the board.
Current superintendent Mark Bielang is set to retire on July 1st.
