KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Tuesday is an election day in Michigan, but only a small percentage of Kalamazoo County’s registered voters will have ballot items and all of them are funding requests.
Voters in the Parchment School District will be asked to approve a $36.4 million bond issue to fund school building repairs, equipment replacement and upgrades over the next few years.
Voters in a small section of northwest Kalamazoo County who reside in the Otsego School District will decide a similar $46.5 million bond issue.
Residents in Alamo Township will be asked for up to three-quarters of a mill increase on their property tax bills to fund township operations.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
