EAST LANSING, MI — Finals week at Michigan State University is almost over and spring move out begins this weekend for most students. Residence hall move out concludes on Sunday evening, though late stays for students can be requested if necessary.
Media partner 6 News WLNS in Lansing says it’s the busiest weekend of the year for MSU’s Recycling Center. Chris Hewitt, MSU’s Surplus and Recycling Operations Coordinator, tells WLNS that the center typically takes in 25 million pounds of waste annually, 6 million pounds of which become recycled cardboard, bottles, paper, and other items.
Graduation ceremonies are set for this weekend, too. The graduation schedule can be found at www.msu.edu.
