LANSING, MI — Coming off winning five of six games at the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the Lansing Lugnuts (9-6) now open a stretch of 12 home games in 13 days with the start of a six-game series Tuesday night against Fort Wayne.
Gates open to the public one hour before first pitch. Here’s a list of games and events this week:
– 6:05 p.m., Tuesday, April 22: Lansing Locos / Tacos and Tallboys. The first Lansing Locos game of the year, part of Minor League Baseball’s Copa de la Diversión (Fun Cup), with $5 for two tacos / $5 for 16-oz. tallboys. Last season the Locos finished as Runner-Up for Minor League Baseball’s top Copa team.
– 6:05 p.m., Wednesday, April 23: Dog Days of Summer. Every Wednesday home game, dogs are welcome to Jackson® Field™. Bring your dog(s) and have a delightful bark in the park.
– 6:05 p.m., Thursday, April 24: Coors Light Thirsty Thursday. Every Thursday home game, enjoy $3 domestics (cans/drafts), $5 seltzers, and $3 16oz soft drink specials.
– 6:05 p.m., Friday, April 25: Page Fence Giants / Jackie Robinson Legacy Day. Since the Lugnuts were on the road for Jackie Robinson Day across baseball on April 15, we are celebrating Jackie’s life and legacy this Friday in Lansing. The Nuts will also be wearing the uniforms of the Page Fence Giants, a dominant trailblazing Black professional baseball team from the 1890s.
– 1:05 p.m., Saturday, April 26: White Claws & Paws. A Dog Days on a Saturday, with dogs welcome.
– 1:05 p.m., Sunday, April 27: Capital City Market Kids Day. Every Sunday home game is for kids, with entertainment throughout the game, Kids Run the Bases after the game, and then an Extra Inning across Michigan Ave. at Capital City Market, with free ice cream and music with Big Lug.
