AUDIO: NCAA champion WMU Bronco hockey team given key to city of Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The NCAA national champion Western Michigan University hockey team appeared at Kalamazoo City Hall last night to hear a resolution honoring their achievements this season.

The key to the city isn’t the only bit of hardware the team has gotten. The resolution, read by commissioner Don Cooney included the list of trophies they won.

Coach Pat Ferschweiler accepted the key on behalf of the team.

The Broncos went 34-7-1 on their way to the national championship this season.
