KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An organization that promotes a vegan lifestyle through education and making vegan options more accessible is gearing up for its third Kalamazoo Vegan Chef Challenge, which kicks off May 1.
According to Vegan Outreach, local chefs will be competing throughout May for votes with plant-based menu options. Diners can cast their votes on the Kalamazoo Vegan Chef Challenge website.
They says so far 600 Kitchen & Bar, HUB Tavern & Grill, Matchacita, Mi Pi Pizza, One Well Brewing, Re-Fresh Market, Studio Grill, Texas Corners Brewing Company, and Water Street Coffee Joint have already signed up, and they expect many more businesses to join over the coming weeks.
Winning dishes will be announced in early June.
