GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Two tornadoes are being confirmed to have hit west Michigan Sunday afternoon.
The National Weather Service says an EF1 tornado happened in a field near Edwardsburg in Cass County at 4:52 p.m., damaging several homes and businesses and uprooting trees with winds up to 100-miles-an-hour.
It went northeast for just over two-miles.
The second was an EF-0 tornado that was on the ground for 4.2 miles starting at 5:42 p.m. in Gaines Township.
It destroyed one barn in the area of 92nd and Kalamazoo avenues, and no one was hurt by either twister.
