BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Applications are now being accepted for the vacant Calhoun County Treasurer job.
The Calhoun County Treasurer Appointment Committee has set a deadline for applications to be submitted by April 25, 2025, to be considered.
To be considered, one needs to be at least 18, a qualified elector, and a registered voter in Calhoun County. A cover letter, resume, letters of support, and references with phone numbers must be included.
The cover letter must confirm the applicant’s eligibility and indicate if they wish their application to be reviewed in a closed session under MCL 15.268. Failure to include this request in the cover letter will be considered a waiver of the confidentiality request.
Applications may be submitted via email to karchambault@calhouncountymi.gov or delivered in person to Calhoun County Human Resources at 315 W. Green St., Marshall, MI 49068.
At the next Calhoun County Treasurer Appointment Committee meeting, scheduled for May 2, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., applicants will have the opportunity to address the committee and respond to questions during a public session.
The appointed Treasurer will serve through December 31, 2026. To complete the entire term, the selected candidate must run in the 2026 general election, with the official term ending on December 31, 2028.
