AUDIO: Upgrades approved for Kalamazoo Central High School sports stadiums

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Public Schools board has approved the upgrade at Kalamazoo Central High School’s sports stadiums.

They approved the same package of improvements for Loy Norrix earlier this month.

Finance director Laura Kayser says the goal is to make the facilities competitive with others in the conference by replacing the playing surface and outmoded facilities.

She says the plan is designed to equally upgrade the athletic fields at both high schools.

The funding for the $6 million face lift is coming from a bond issue approved by voters in 2022.
