PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Residents of Congressman Bill Huizenga’s 4th Congressional District are frustrated by his office changing their phone system.
The Zeeland Republican’s staff no longer answers the phone in the Holland, Portage, or Washington DC offices and calls are directed to a phone tree answering system for people to leave messages.

Audio PlayerHuizenga’s staff says it was started to increase efficiency and several factors went into the decision including threats made against the Congressman and his staff.
He recently held two telephone town halls and his office says he has sent more than 900,000 emails since the inauguration of President Trump.
