KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Western Michigan University and the city of Kalamazoo are doing a survey on the downtown area to get the input of residents and visitors.
Jun-Seok Oh from WMU is heading up the survey.
Audio PlayerCity officials say the data will help them better understand why visits have dropped recently and other surveys have found businesses want more communication about major construction projects like what is coming in 2026.
Next year, work will happen to turn Kalamazoo Avenue to a two-way street instead of the current one-way. The Downtown Vitality survey is available on Western Michigan University’s website.
