KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Housing Resources Incorporated’s annual 5K Walk to End Homelessness is coming up on Saturday, March 22.
The fundraiser will go from Homer Stryker Field along the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail to HRI’s Rickman House downtown and then back.
HRI provided over $1.5 million in financial assistance to homes facing a housing crisis, eviction, or homelessness. They also provided more than 3,500 households with coordinated assessment services to assure fair and equitable access to housing assistance.
Onsite registration begins at 9 a.m. on March 22, and the walk begins at 10 a.m.
It is open to people of all ages, and they can also bring a leashed dog. Donations are accepted online and at the event.
