LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Governor Gretchen Whitmer will hold an invitation-only meeting Thursday morning with lawmakers to discuss long-term road funding.
Lansing-based MIRS News reports House Speaker Matt Hall has not yet been invited. Whitmer’s press secretary Stacey LaRouche says the governor has “been in touch with Republican leadership on roads” and adds she “will continue to work with anyone who is serious about solving problems.”
In her State of the State address, Whitmer said revenue increases will be needed along with spending cuts elsewhere.
