DEARBORN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The average price for a gallon of gas in Michigan has fallen below three-dollars, starting the week at $2.96.
Triple-A Michigan says it’s a 12-cent drop in the past week, down seven-cents from last month and 49-cents less than last year.
A 15-gallon tank now costs $44 on average in the state.
Michigan’s highest price is $3.02 in Ann Arbor, while Benton Harbor has the lowest price at $2.88.
In southwest Michigan, Triple-A says Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, and Van Buren counties are all at $2.86, Allegan County is at $2.89, Barry and Cass counties are at $2.93, and Calhoun County is at $2.96.
