PAW PAW, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Paw Paw Public Schools officials say new lighting will improve safety at Paw Paw High School.
The district added three new LED lights to further enhance safety at the main entrance on Red Arrow Highway. To reduce costs, all three energy-efficient lights were installed on existing utility poles along the north side of Red Arrow Highway. The lights are set to activate between dusk and dawn by a photocell located on the light fixture.
During peak traffic times, such as morning arrival or during large events in the evening, the additional light coverage at the high school entrance should not only improve safety but also lead to better driver awareness, making drivers more aware of their physical surroundings, other drivers’ actions, and the need to slow down in a school zone.
By following through on important safety initiatives, Paw Paw Public Schools says they continue to demonstrate its commitment to the safety, health, and well-being of students, staff and guests to our schools and campus.
