GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Two children have died in Kent County from influenza this flu season.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says they are the fourth and fifth pediatric flu deaths in the state.
There are “very high” levels of flu in the state right now according to the MDHHS.
Nearly 11% of hospital visits the week ending February 15 were for the flu, which is over four-times higher than the normal 2.3%.
