SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – South Haven Police Chief Kevin Swope has resigned after just a month on the job.
City Manager Kate Hosier has appointed Sergeant Pat Carlotto as interim chief and says Swope resigned for “personal family reasons.”
Carlotto has been with the department for 25 years and has served as a member of the Southwest Enforcement Team, which is a multi jurisdictional narcotics task force.
The city will review candidates from the search that led to Swope’s hiring as they look for his successor.
