LANSING, MI – Plans appear to be moving forward for a new Aldi’s discount grocery store to be built near Eastwood Towne Center in Lansing Township, according to a report in today’s Lansing State Journal.
The township’s planning commission on Wednesday gave the go ahead for the proposal to be considered by the Board of Trustees. Aldi says it wants to build the new store at 2110 Lake Lansing road, not far from Eastwood Towne Center. The property is already zoned commercial, according to report.
Township planners say if given approval, construction could begin yet this spring and the Aldi store completed by late 2025. Aldi’s recently announced plans to build 225 new store locations as part of its five year growth plan.
