PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Portage Public Schools will hold a focus group session next Wednesday, February 26 at 6 p.m. as they work on the search process for the next superintendent.
Participants will be asked for their views on the qualifications of a new leader for the district.
Andy Ingall of the Michigan Leadership Institute will lead the meetings and is helping the school board with the search.
The meeting will be at the Administration Building at 8107 Mustang Drive in Conference Room 1.
The district says each focus group session will last for about 45 minutes and adds if someone is interested in sharing their thoughts but can’t attend, they can access a short survey at portageps.org.
Superintendent Mark Bielang is going to retire at the end of the current school years after leading Portage Public Schools for the last 12 years and a total of 51 years in education.
