KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The city of Kalamazoo has agreed to extend a program that gives free bus rides to the city’s teens for another three years.
The unique agreement with Metro Transit and Kydnet staff, who administers the program, allows high school students to use their student I.D. as a bus pass, making it possible for them to travel to jobs, recreational and educational opportunities in the area.
Kalamazoo city commissioners approved spending $180,000 as their share of the funding for the Youth Mobility Pass program Monday night.
