KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) -Western Michigan University programs are in danger of being canceled as part of the funding cuts from the U.S. Department of Education where officials claim money is being wasted.
A university spokesperson explained that the Urban Teacher Residency Program and the High-Impact Leadership for School Projects creates a pipeline of talent of teachers for hard-to-fill positions and to improve literacy in students.
