Portage’s 12 snowplows get named by city’s Youth Advisory Committee

PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Portage’s 12 snowplows have now been named thanks to the Portage Youth Advisory Committee.

The names include Let it Plow, Salt-Shaker, Jack Frost, Slush Puppy, Plow-Zilla, and Elsa’s Enforcer.

The plows will soon get their names attached.

City Manager Pat McGinnis says the project “highlights the importance of our snowplow drivers and the work they do to keep Portage moving during the toughest winter storms.”

The committee and city officials will work to roll out the names and ensure the plows and drivers get the recognition they deserve.
