KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Western Michigan University men’s hockey team completed a weekend sweep of St. Cloud State by winning 6-1 Saturday night at Lawson Arena. The win improved the Broncos’ record to 20-5-1 overall and 13-2-1 in NCHC play.
WMU got goals from Owen Michaels, Grant Slukynsky, Ty Henricks, Tim Washe, Brian Kramer and Matteo Costantini. In net, Hampton Slukynsky made 25 saves to earn his sixth win of the season.
Western Michigan will continue its homestand with a series against Omaha this weekend, with Friday’s series opener set for 7:00 p.m. at Lawson Arena.
