LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan has raised over $63,000 in his first month of campaigning for governor. Duggan is seeking the office as an independent.
He received 51 donations in total from December 4th through the 31st.
Democratic candidate and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson raised $130,000 between October 21st and December 31st prior to announcing her bid for governor and Senate Minority Leader Aric Nesbitt of Van Buren County raised $1 million in the first 72 hours of his campaign for his effort to succeed Gretchen Whitmer according to his staff.
Republican candidate for governor Mike Cox says he donated just over one-million-dollars to his own campaign in December.
