THREE RIVERS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Three Rivers police have arrested a 33-year-old man for a hit-and-run yesterday afternoon that hospitalized a 47-year-old woman.
The crash happened just after 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Michigan Avenue and South Douglas Avenue. Police say the man drove away after hitting the woman, who remains in critical condition.
The suspect is awaiting arraignment on several charges.
In Cass County’s Wayne Township Wednesday, one man was injured after being struck while riding his bicycle.
Police say 32-year-old Michael Brown of Dowagiac was bicycling northbound on Rudy Road when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 84-year-old Harvey Anson of Dowagiac. Both where traveling northbound when the crash occurred.
Brown was transported by SMCAS to Lakeland Niles Hospital. He was not wearing a helmet during the crash.
