LANSING, MI — The Lansing School District Board of Education has elected officers to serve in leadership positions in 2025, and welcomed new members at the first meeting of the new year. The board members elected in leadership roles include Robin Moore to serve as President, Guillermo Lopez as Vice President, Dr. Caitlin Cavanagh as Treasurer, and Dr. Deyanira Nevárez Martinez as Secretary.
“It is a great honor for me to serve as the Board of Education President,” said Moore. “I learned a lot about the district serving in my previous leadership role as Vice President, and I sincerely appreciate the unanimous support and vote of confidence from my fellow board members to elect me to lead as President.”
New Board of Education members include Keturah Bouyer, LaVonte Heard and Cirea Strode who were elected in the November 2024 election and were sworn in and participated in their first meeting when the new board recently convened. They join veteran board members Dr. Nino Rodriguez and Rosalyn Williams.
