CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Calhoun County Sheriff Steve Hinkley has announced that Michael Farmer is the department’s new Chief Deputy and Jail Administrator.
According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Department, Farmer has more than 35 years of experience in law enforcement, having served with the Michigan Department of Corrections and Michigan State Police.
He previously served the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department as both a reserve and part-time deputy with the Marine Patrol Division.
Hinkley says Farmer will oversee corrections, transportation, and court security.
