KALAMAZOO, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A Sturgis man has been ordered to serve 70 months in prison after he was charged by the United States District Attorney’s Office last May with numerous drug trafficking crimes.
According to court documents, 47-year-old Erik Miller entered a guilty plea last September to a count of “conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances”.
In exchange for the plea, all other counts were dismissed.
Authorities say Miller used the dark web to sell fake pills which were made to look like authentic Xanax® pills.
The case was investigated by the DEA and the United States Postal Inspection Service.
