DETROIT, MI — General Motors says it posted solid sales growth in 2024 with a 4% jump to 2.7 million cars. That is enough to make it the top selling automaker in the U.S. in 2024, topping rival Toyota.
In a press release, the Detroit automaker said it’s fourth quarter marked the highest number of vehicles sold since 2019. GM’s fourth quarter sales show the momentum the automaker has with a 21% bump from its third quarter totals. Even electric vehicles sales, which have been struggling, showed steady growth in year-over-year numbers and nearly doubling their market share.
The automaker says it is pointing to the Detroit Auto Show that will run January 10th through the 25th at Huntington Place in downtown Detroit.
